Robert Ramundo, Photographer
About Robert: To me, expressing and evoking emotion through photography is the greatest form of communication. My clients include musicians, furniture catalogs, fashion, editorial, and corporate clients. The list is diverse and eclectic, allowing me to blend my artistic eye with an advertiser's instinct. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Columbia College Chicago. There I received a grant for cultural studies in photography. Traveling to South America I searched through my viewfinder, breaking language barriers, communicating with imagery, and falling in love with my ability to capture, evoke, and express emotion.
What fuels my passion: I feel there are no limits to how much I can grow as a photographer. As long as I approach what I do with an open mind, humility, and the willingness to learn, the possibilities are endless. If I am shooting people it is discovering a connection and bond with whom I am photographing. If I am shooting a scene it is seeing and understanding the way light moves and reflects-opening my eyes to new possibilities. Photography affords me the opportunity to constantly absorb from each experience.
The most fun I had in one day: In Mexico, surfing 10 foot waves in the morning, eating killer barbacoa tacos for lunch, and ended the day with six stitches in my head from surfing. Epic!
Fun Fact: Flunked out of ballet class in the sixth grade.
A Style Tip: Be comfortable in your own skin, and marry a woman with great style, she WILL shop for you.
